Shettle Family Eye Care & Eye Wear was founded by Dr. D. Scott Shettle and his wife Nicole. Shettle Family Eye Care & Eye Wear is an independent, privately owned, professionally operated office of optometry. Dr. Shettle has been providing comprehensive eye care for families in Pinellas County since 1994. He has built his medical career and reputation by taking pride in the care he provides, not only for his patient’s vision, but for their well-being.
Dr. Scott Shettle and Dr. Logan Shettle have pledged to always be at the pinnacle of their profession by on-going professional education, studying the latest advances with the nation’s foremost clinicians and holding themselves to the highest standards in caring for their patients.
Personal Background
Dr. Scott Shettle – Dr. Scott Shettle is a native Floridian. He is a graduate of Truman State University, Kirksville, MO where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology. He attended Nova Southeastern College of Optometry, Davie, Florida where he received his Doctor of Optometry. He married his wife, Nicole in 1995. They have two children, daughter Channing and son Logan. Dr. Scott Shettle is a member of the American Optometric Association, American Optometric Society, Florida Optometric Association, Pinellas County Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association – Contact Lens Section. In his free time, Dr. Scott Shettle enjoys baseball, golfing, swimming, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Dr. Logan Shettle – Dr. Logan Shettle joined the practice in June 2025. Dr. Logan Shettle grew up in Clearwater, Florida. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida – Tampa where he received his undergraduate degree in Integrative Animal Biology. He was awarded the Presidential Endowed Scholarship from Southern College of Optometry (SCO). He attended SCO where he received his Doctor of Optometry, Summa Cum Laude. While attending SCO, Logan was recognized as a Beta Sigma Kappa member. Dr. Logan Shettle is a member of the Florida Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Shettle enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, music, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
